The Lakeside Music Series resumes with Ryan Thomas on stage Friday, September 18, at 7:30 pm.
The Town of Flower Mound formally approved the event’s return on Monday, September 14.
The approval comes with stipulations. COVID-19 protocols will be in effect, requiring groups to separate themselves from one another by six feet. Signs will be posted to remind attendees of this protocol.
The town’s approval requires that “individuals must wear a face covering wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from an individual not in the same household.”
Ryan Thomas, lead vocalist for Straight Tequila Night (voted Dallas’ best cover band), will bring a blend of 90s country radio hits from artists like Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, and many more.
To provide additional room for people to spread out, the parking spaces on the north and south sides of the plaza will be cordoned off (except for the handicap spaces).
So far this year, 19 shows were canceled due to the coronavirus — nine between April 3 and May 29 and 10 between July 10 and September 11. Only five shows (those from June 5 to July 3) took place as scheduled.
Organizers ask attendees to “Play it Safe” and keep six feet between one another (or wear a mask) so we can keep the music going through the fall.
