Leap into the Christmas season with the Sixth Annual Lakeside Holiday Event in The Shops at Lakeside (2412 Lakeside Pkwy in Flower Mound) on Wednesday, November 30 from 5-8 pm.

The family-friendly occasion offers lots of fun, free of charge, including horse-drawn carriage rides, the lighting of Lakeside’s 30-foot Christmas tree, photos with Santa, live holiday music, and much more.
You’ll find Lakeside’s shops and restaurants open and offering special Christmas treats from free light bites, sweets, and refreshments to a variety of activities including letters to Santa, face painting, balloon artists, and digital caricatures.
“We have no doubt that the 6th Annual Lakeside Holiday Event will be the best one yet!” said Abbey Glass, director of marketing for Realty Capital (master developer of Lakeside).
“This year we are bringing in more horse-drawn carriages,” Glass added, “filling the CandyLand candy carts to the brim with sweets, and truly creating a place that will transport you straight to the streets of Candyland.”

“The merchants of the Shops at Lakeside are what make this event so special. Many set up tables in front of their shops and offer holiday treats and holiday themed activities.”
Free horse-drawn carriages rides are provided by Pleasures Past Carriages. For the remainder of the season, contact them to schedule your ride through the neighborhoods of Lakeside lit up with Christmas lights. A variety of carriage sizes (from four to 20 occupants) are available.
Live Christmas music will fill the air all along Lakeside Parkway courtesy of McLeod Nine from 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm, followed by Jon Christopher Davis at 7 pm.
The 30-foot Christmas tree lighting will start at 7:30 pm.
“There will be toy train rides and a CandyLand-themed kids activity zone with bounce houses, slides, and a candy cart,” Glass added.
The event is made possible by sponsors First United Bank (Santa’s Workshop), Texas Bank and Trust, and Nexus Lakeside (printing).
Important contributions also were made by Birch Construction, DFW Project Solutions, Mitsubishi HC Capital, and First Service Residential.
