The Tavern at Lakeside, which will be located at the northwest corner of Surrey Lane and Lakeside Parkway, will fill the most pronounced need at Lakeside: a neighborhood bar and restaurant.
Officials at Realty Capital Management, LLC, the master developer of Lakeside DFW, announced today that three new merchants — Gusto Wine Bar, The Tavern at Lakeside, and The Med Spa of Flower Mound — have signed leases in The Shops at Lakeside.
All three are expected to open by the first quarter of 2019.
“Residents and visitors have been asking for businesses like these for quite some time,” said Jimmy Archie, a managing partner of Realty Capital. “We are delighted that these particular operators are coming to The Shops at Lakeside.”
The Tavern at Lakeside and The Med Spa of Flower Mound will be located near the intersection of Surrey Lane and Lakeside Parkway.
Gusto Wine Bar, offering an assortment of wine and food pairings in a cozy atmosphere, will open in the space next door to the popular Italian restaurant, Mio Nonno Trattoria.

- Gusto Wine Bar Tastings with winemakers as well as an on-site sommelier to educate guests on pairings.
- The Med Spa of Flower Mound Services including cosmetic injections, laser treatments, Hydrafacials, Coolsculpting, and skin resurfacing and tightening.
The Tavern at Lakeside, owned and operated by Flower Mound residents Dave Coussirat and Scott Mannes, will answer the most pronounced need at Lakeside — a neighborhood bar.
The tavern (open until 11 pm Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday) will feature a range of American fare and a variety of 20+ craft beers, cocktails, and wine.
A large bar framed by garage doors will invite guests to sit outside while viewing sporting events on one of the 16 televisions inside.
A dog-friendly patio and an abundance of bike parking will make The Tavern the perfect spot to enjoy a craft beer after a bike ride on the North Shore Trail. A Bloody Mary bar and $2 mimosas will be offered at brunch on the weekend.
“The Tavern at Lakeside is exactly what this community is craving,” said co-owner Dave Coussirat, “a place to enjoy a cold beer and burger with friends or a place to stop in after dinner at night.
The wine bar placed second on most residents’ wish lists.
Owned and operated by Noti Krasniqi and Sunny Malaj, who brought Mio Nonno to Lakeside, Gusto (which means “to taste” in Italian) will feature tastings with winemakers as well as an on-site sommelier to educate guests on pairings.

“We are grateful to the residents in Flower Mound and the surrounding communities,” said Krasniqi. “They’ve embraced us and we’ve heard their requests for a wine bar.”
The Med Spa of Flower Mound will offer services including cosmetic injections, laser treatments, Hydrafacials, Coolsculpting, and skin resurfacing and tightening.
“We take a conservative approach to bring out our client’s own natural outer beauty utilizing the most up-to-date products and technologies,” said owner Phil Rodgers.
“We provide an atmosphere that makes each and every client feel like family. Our staff is highly trained in every procedure in our full range of non-invasive offerings,” Rodgers added.
After being voted “The Best of Living” and “The Best of Denton County” two years in a row, Rodgers sought out a new larger location.
“We selected Lakeside because it offers a sense of community that fits our family of staff and clients,” Rodgers said.
