How did the Lakeside Professional Office, completed in 2019, lease all of its two stories and 21,779 square feet in the midst of the COVID pandemic? Below, several tenants share their reasons to move to Lakeside and the office building.
Edge Team Technology, a network innovation, network infrastructure, and information security firm, moved to the southern Flower Mound location from Grapevine.
“We viewed this building as a Class A-facility in an up-and-coming area that was convenient to most of our employees.” The firm’s 12 employees live in communities from Keller and Arlington to Flower Mound and Lewisville. One of the company’s engineers decided to move from Arlington to a Lakeside apartment once the relocation was complete.
“The Lakeside community, with its shops and restaurants, definitely added to the appeal,” emphasized Strange.
For Dr. Robert Handley of North Texas Vein & Vascular, relocating to Lakeside brings him closer to some of his favorite restaurants and his favorite movie theater. He also looks forward to being close to Outlaw Gym, where he trains.
“I am excited about our new, more visible location,” said Dr. Handley, who has been in practice in Flower Mound for 10 years at offices just north of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on FM 2499, 4.5 miles from Lakeside.
“Being closer and more accessible to the Metroplex will help us better serve our patients who come from all over North Texas,” Dr. Handley explained. “Yet it is still close enough to Flower Mound for our existing varicose vein patients.”
The Lakeside office space is about the same size as the current location, but has more patient care areas.
Ten years ago, the practice started out specializing in only varicose vein patients. Three years later, Dr. Handley added in-office fluoroscopy so that he could treat women suffering from uterine fibroids and patients suffering from peripheral vascular disease.
Now, prostate artery embolization will become part of the practice to help men who are suffering from enlarged prostates. A second doctor and an additional PA are expected to join the team soon after the new office opens.
“I foresee more medical practices moving to the area as growth happens and more people move into the Lakeside area,” said Dr. Handley.
Swapnil Sharma, a Flower Mound resident, moved The Sharma Group – Compass Real Estate office just 75-100 yards to the east, but she gained significantly more visibility along FM 2499. The new, high-quality construction, including open ceilings, also played a role.
“I was surprised and happy with the way the space turned out,” said Sharma, who frequents Mio Nonno and Starbucks.
“We are very pleased with the number of people who notice the location and are aware of our office.”
