The phased reopening of the Lakeside Music Series will kick off on Friday, June 5, with Danni & Kris starting their performance at 7:30 pm.
Expect a repertoire stretching from indie-pop and groove to soul and pop from the quirky-cool Fort Worth natives who were recently nominated by the Fort Worth Weekly as DFW’s best singer/songwriters.
Social distancing protocol will be in effect: while those within a group may sit within six feet of one another, a minimum of six feet should be maintained between other groups.
Attendees are requested to limit the number in any single group to a maximum of 10.
With these restrictions in place, attendees are encouraged to come earlier than normal to find their place.
Every attempt will be made to accommodate all those who attend, but if the crowd swells, some may have to place their chairs in parking spaces surrounding the plaza (that will be cordoned off).
The remainder of the lineup for June will be familiar to regular attendees of the music series.
Chaz Marie hits the stage on June 12, followed by Chant Duplantier on June 19, and Jon Christopher Davis on June 26.
All of the artists are eager to perform for Lakeside’s appreciative crowds.

Please would you explain what is being done to promote social distancing? Are you marking off sections with 6 ft between them or anything else? Looking forward to this great event with more information. Thanks@

Marking off areas does not seem feasible since people often line up their chairs in rows. For the most on Friday night (June 5), people lined up their chairs with approximately 6 ft. between them and the chairs in front of them.
We are posting signs with our social distancing protocol: 6 feet between groups (who can decide for themselves if they are safe together). Groups are limited to 10 individuals.
We also are cordoning of the parking areas just north and just south of the plaza to give people more room to spread out.
We posted a story on this subject today. Click here.
Hope this helps.

Photographs show that there was no social distancing at the event.
In fact, people are *boasting* about how they did not wear masks and violated social-distancing rules. But you allowed the event to go on anyway.
Thy not only put their own lives in risk, but the risk of men, women, and children throughout the Metroplex who they may come in contact with.
Are you proud of the way you enabled this>

We are taking our cues from the restaurant guidelines that separate patio tables by approximately 6 feet.
Our protocol calls for groups to separate themselves from other groups by 6 feet. Maximum number per group: 10 (most are far fewer).
In addition, the parking areas immediately north and south of the plaza are cordoned off during show times to allow attendees to spread out.
Pictures can be deceiving.

In some cases, people line up their chairs in a row and most position them approximately 6 feet from the row in front of (or behind) them.
In other cases, people position their chairs in more of a circle. The photo in the Facebook post featured one of these groupings. These groups can make it appear that social distancing is not being practiced.
We understand that COVID-19 is a serious issue and we are doing our best to encourage people to distance safely from one another while they enjoy the music.
