Concrete was poured for the water and sewer tie-in on the north end of Canongate Drive on June 24. The concrete will need to cure for a few days before this portion of the road can be re-opened.
Work on the water and sewer connection on the south side of Canongate is expected to be complete by June 28. It will take a few more days for this part of the road to be re-opened.
“We are hoping to have the road back open before July 4,” said Scot Whitwer, construction manager for the project.
“The surface will be temporary pavement,” he added. “The permanent pavement will be placed in approximately 30 days.”
Pouring concrete for the streets of this single-family residential section of Lakeside DFW is expected to begin in early August.
