Brice Beaird and Milo Deering will bring their special brand of Americana to Lakeside on Friday, November 11, 7-9 pm.
If you like Lyle Lovett or James Taylor, you’re bound to enjoy Beaird and Deering.
Tha Smokin Chef, serving Texas BBQ, will be on site.
Beaird has been writing and playing since the seventies when he collaborated with Highland Park HS classmates Willis Alan Ramsey (writer of “Ballad of Spider John,” “Satin Sheets” and “Northeast Texas Women”) and Tom Faulkner (who played at the Lakeside Music Series in August).
Beaird has produced two EPs, “Another Side” and “Now Appearing,” and has opened for Robert Earl Keen, Willis Alan Ramsey, and Karla Bonoff.
Deering recently returned to North Texas after touring with Don Henley (of Eagles fame).
A master of many stringed instruments and an accomplished producer, Deering played on ten tracks of Henley’s latest solo LP, entitled “Cass County,” which debuted at number one on Billboard’s Country Music Chart.
Deering also played pedal steel, fiddle, Dobro, and mandolin on Beaird’s EP “Another Side.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or portable chairs.
The Lakeside Music Series brings free musical performances to The Shops at Lakeside on Friday nights through the fall (the third week in November).
In case of rain, the performance will be moved inside to Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co.
Slip Clay and Lil’ Bro perform next week in the final performance until our Christmas show on Friday, December 16, featuring two a cappella groups from Flower Mound High School. The music series will resume in the spring of 2017.
