The Moviehouse reopened over the July 3 weekend, offering classic movies for only $5 a recliner.
“Nothing’s changed,” explained Nikki Christopher, a manager of the Lakeside Moviehouse, “except for the safety and health precautions being taken.
“You’ll find the same great service and scratch kitchen (with a scaled-down menu).”
The Lakeside Moviehouse is one of only four theaters in the Cinépolis chain to open at the beginning of July. The others: the Moviehouses in Austin, Keller, and McKinney.
In accordance with the July 2, 2020, order from Governor Abbott, masks are mandatory for guests while entering the facilities. Guests may remove masks while in the theater to eat and drink. Click here to see the entire COVID-19 protocol.
Guests are asked to plan ahead by booking their tickets online and reviewing the food menu in advance to minimize the length of encounters with Moviehouse personnel. (Note that all showtimes begin after lunch and no movies begin after 7 pm.)
In addition, guests are advised to avoid crowds in the lobby and to maintain social distancing while waiting for the bathroom.
