Lakeside 5K and Family Fun Day Benefitting Ally’s Wish
Date: Saturday, November 9
Time: Fun Run @ 7:30 am, 5K @ 8
Where: Lakeside DFW
Hosts: Ally’s Wish, HAS Events, Lakeside DFW
The event benefits Ally’s Wish, a local Flower Mound nonprofit organization that grants last “wishes” to terminally ill mothers with small children.
“Lakeside is honored to continue to partner with such an accomplished and respected nonprofit organization and to host this fun event,” said Jimmy Archie of Realty Capital Management, master developer of Lakeside DFW.
“We have granted wishes to over 120 terminally ill mothers who are leaving behind precious young children,” said Missy Phipps, president and co-founder of the organization.
“Ally’s Wish is here to try and give them memories with their kids that don’t involve hospitals and medicine and doctors and sadness. We want these kids to have amazing memories and we want the moms to be able to experience one last amazing wish with them.”

Allyson (Ally) Hendrickson, center, with the moms she inspired to form the Ally’s Wish Foundation in March 2014 (l-r): Missy Phipps, Heather Bryan, Melissa Cary, and Holly Reed. The foundation grants wishes to terminally ill moms with young families.
Since Ally’s Wish granted that first wish to Ally, 120 more moms from across America have had their wishes granted.
