The bar at this Burgerim in Houston features a bright and casual atmosphere like the one that will open in Lakeside in the summer.
So you think you’ve tried every possible incarnation of the almighty hamburger?
Burgerim, coming to The Shops at Lakeside this summer, will challenge this assumption, delighting you with some indisputably new takes on the American classic.
“We have been searching for the perfect burger restaurant for The Shops at Lakeside,” said Jimmy Archie, managing director of Realty Capital Management LLC, master developer of Lakeside DFW, “and we are very excited to have found Burgerim.”
At BurgerIM, gourmet patties weigh in at a slim and trim 2.8 oz (slightly larger than a slider) because they are designed to be eaten two or three at a time.
The mind-blowing part is the variety of meats available to you, like wagyu beef, Spanish beef, dry-aged beef, lamb, chicken, and even salmon.
In all, there are 10 beef options, three buns, five sauces, and nine toppings to mull over, making for a large number of possible combinations for your three burgers. (Burgerim means “many burgrers” in Hebrew.)
It’s easy to see why The Burger Review awarded a California franchise a five-bite burger rating (i.e., “a burgergasm — a masterpiece of meat, cheese, and bun…more, please”).
The chain comes out of Isreal and has exploded in California since arriving in 2013, with 17 locations now open and double that coming soon. It also is moving fast to expand into Texas and Florida.
“We are excited to serve the growing Lakeside community,” said Edgar Alvarez, co-owner of the Lakeside location (his partner is Henry Arias). “The casual neighborhood feel of our burger restaurant and bar should fit in nicely.”
Burgerim is expected to open this summer and will be one of the first to open in Texas.
The restaurant will face FM 2499 from its location at 2401 Lakeside Parkway just south of Carvao Prime Brazilian Steakhouse and Bottle and Bottega.
