Singer-songwriter Manny Trevino, an alumnus of Flower Mound Marcus HS, will take to the stage at the Lakeside Music Series Friday night at 7 pm.
Trevino replaces Derric Bonnot, who was originally scheduled to perform.
The veteran of local pubs and showcases who graduated from the University of North Texas has performed all over DFW. Friday night he will bring his Americana-Folk-Texas Country repertoire to his old stomping grounds.
Trevino has released two CDs and his band, Manny & Gringoderos, have opened for acts including Stoney LaRue, Casey Donahew as well as many other prominent Texas Country acts. See his Facebook page here.
You also might recognize Trevino as the lead trainer for Camp Gladiator in the Flower Mound/Highland Village area.
At Lakeside — with many local friends expected to be in attendance — the Amarillo native will play an acoustic mix of his own material as well as covers of country and rock artists.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or portable chairs.
The Lakeside Music Series brings free musical performances to The Shops at Lakeside on Friday nights through the fall (the second week in November).
Chris Rasponte performs next week. (For an up-to-date schedule of upcoming performers, click here.)
