McLeod Nine

McLeod Nine — Gordon and Christy McLeod — bring their eclectic and energetic sound to Lakeside at 7:30 pm on Friday, October 12.

Expect a range of music from string jazz with a gypsy flavor and inspiring original songs to Americana and traditional Irish fiddle tunes.

Gordon and Christy are well known as founders and performers in the very popular Americana-Celtic-roots band Beyond The Pale and as founders (with cellist Dirje Childs) of the elegant string ensemble, The Aisling String Trio.

Gordon plays a number of instruments, including fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and more. He is an award-winning songwriter whose original songs have been licensed for independent film and television projects as well as being included on numerous compilations.

Christy McLeod conveys a love of life through her singing, songwriting, and playing that is infectious. Her clear voice complements her powerful guitar style. Christy plays guitar, mandolin, percussion, and harmonica.
