Singer-songwriter Manny Trevino, an alumnus of Flower Mound Marcus HS, will take to the stage at the Lakeside Music Series on Friday, April 9, 7:30-9:30 pm.
The veteran of local pubs and showcases who graduated from the University of North Texas has performed all over the country. Friday night he will bring his Americana-Folk-Texas Country repertoire to his old stomping grounds.
At Lakeside — with many local friends expected to be in attendance — the Amarillo native will play an acoustic mix of his own material as well as covers of country and rock artists.
Manny Trevino has been on the Texas Country Scene since his debut CD release in 2007. He has had regional radio airplay and shared the stage with other Texas Country artists, such as Mike Ryan, Stoney LaRue and Casey Donahew.
Influenced by his parents, Manny grew up with the sounds of the Beatles, Willie Nelson, Boston and Chicago, and his current songwriting influences include Townes Van Zandt, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam. Manny’s new releases display an Americana feel, and he is currently recording new music.See his Facebook page here.
You also might recognize Trevino as the lead trainer for Camp Gladiator in the local area.
