Singer-songwriter Manny Trevino, an alumnus of Flower Mound Marcus HS, performs on Friday, September 27, 7:30-9:30 pm.

The veteran of local pubs and showcases (and an alumnus of the University of North Texas) has performed all over DFW. Friday night he will bring his Americana-Folk-Texas Country repertoire to his old stomping grounds.

At Lakeside — with many local friends expected to be in attendance — the Amarillo native will play an acoustic mix of his own material as well as covers of country and rock artists.

“I’m a fan of Texas country and 90s rock,” said Trevino. “You will hear covers from Texas country artists like Willie Nelson plus classic country tunes from the likes of Johnny Cash. Then I’ll throw in tunes from groups like Pearl Jam and The Dave Matthews Band.”

Trevino has released two CDs and his band, Manny & Gringoderos, have opened for acts including Stoney LaRue, Casey Donahew, as well as many other prominent Texas Country acts.
