Two UNT grads team up on Friday, July 26, to offer their musicianship under the name Hooploo. Expect virtuosity in genres from rock to bluegrass.
For over 40 years, Johnny Hooper has written and performed music for jingles, commercials, film, television, and industrial shows, including the Kix Brooks “American Country Countdown Show,” Radio Disney, Casey Kasem’s “Top 20 Countdown,” and “Crook & Chase,” to name a few.
He currently is the lead musician in the band “Mr. Inez,” which recently traveled to Liverpool for an appearance at the Cavern Club.
The Dallas Morning News called Milo Deering one of the top record producers in Dallas. He continues to work as a first-call multi-instrumentalist on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, Dobro & steel guitar and has most recently played on projects by Stoney LaRue, Zane Williams, Aaron Watson, Kyle Park, Breaking Southwest, and Don Henley.
Milo also plays with one of Texas’ most popular and enduring bluegrass bands, Hickory Hill.
