Hale Baskin – The Southpaw Preachers

The Southpaw Preachers, led by Hale Baskin and Colin Campbell, bring their high-energy and gritty funk act to Lakeside on Friday, May 21, at 7:30 pm.

This Denton-based band draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of soul, funk, blues, pop, hip hop, R&B, and hard-hitting rock & roll to craft original arrangements of their catalogue of both well-known and obscure tunes.

They also perform original songs by keyboardist Colin Campbell.

The Dentonite calls The Southpaw Preachers “a purely exhilarating . . . funky composite.”
