Construction crews are working to complete Lakeside’s first mixed-use building in time for a December 9 “ready date.”
Lakeside’s first truly urban-style residents can’t wait. They are hoping to be settled into their new digs well before Christmas.
“All but one of the apartment homes in Building 1 are leased,” said Wendy Kline, property manager for Elan Lakeside, “and all of our new residents are very eager to begin their lives here.”
“Several have dropped by with measuring tapes as move-in day approaches.”
Many more future residents (those of Buildings 2 – 4) are eagerly awaiting for their upcoming move-in dates.
Over 70 percent of the units in Buildings 2 and 3 have been leased along with nearly 50 percent in Building 4. The three buildings are projected to open in the next two months, starting with Building 2 on December 31 and concluding with Building 4 on January 31.
Meanwhile, “hard hat” tours are being offered every hour on the hour for those interested in lofts, apartments, and town homes at Lakeside (a total of 425 units are being constructed in Phase I).
“When the restaurants open, aromas will fill the air and people will fill the sidewalks.”

Led by Elan’s leasing team of Francesca Vega and JoAnne Griffin, the tours allow prospective residents a chance to see, touch, and feel the quality details and amenities built into the state-of-the-art residences.
Many feature balconies that overlook the streets and contribute to Lakeside’s sense of place.
“Lakeside’s urban lifestyle appeals to almost everyone,” said Kline. “So far, we have residents ranging from young adults to senior citizens.
“There is already a buzz here and soon,” she added, “when the restaurants open, aromas will fill the air and people will fill the sidewalks.”
The first businesses, which are expected to open their doors over the next several months, were announced in November.
“Most of our residents so far are coming from the Flower Mound area,” explained Kline.
“They say they want to leave high-maintenance home ownership behind.”
