Daniel Rocha, a Dallas-based singer-songwriter, guitar virtuoso, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, instructor, producer and sessionist, performs at Lakeside on Friday, June 9, 7-9 pm.
Rocha’s music blends soul, R&B, funk, pop, jazz, and blues.
Rocha’s influences run the spectrum, from Sam Cooke, Muddy Waters and Hendrix, to classical influences from the legendary Romero’s sideman Frank Kimlicko and to jazz from the renowned jazz fusionist Frank Heyer and acclaimed producer/composer Michael Johnson.
Rocha has produced hip hop tracks and played lead guitar for several touring country acts.
He has released two EPs, “Underdressed but not Under Duress” in 2010 and “Card nor Spin” in 2013.
