Tucked away, right
in the middle of things
Since its completion in 1974, DFW Airport has spawned a population boom.
While the airport drew thousands, Lake Grapevine served as an oasis on the Texas plains for those coming from states like California, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
Lakeside DFW’s location marries the best of this area’s two mammoth assets.
DFW Airport lies just a short drive down International Parkway from Lakeside (see video at left).
And while there are points on the lake that are closer to the airport, none offer the kind of views offered by Lakeside’s perch on the northeastern shore of the lake.
Only at Lakeside DFW can residents, diners, shoppers, employers, and visitors relax and enjoy sunset views over the lake 12 months out of the year.
Access to Interstate 635, 35, SH 121, and SH 114 lies just three miles away via International Parkway (FM 2499) or Lakeside Parkway, putting all points from Dallas to Fort Worth and from Denton to Arlington within an easy drive.
By 2017, traffic flow along FM 2499 to I-635, SH 121, and SH 114 will be improved by the completion of the DFW Connector Project. The $90 million project will construct a below-grade right of way for FM 2499 that will by-pass the traffic lights at Grapevine Mills Mall. The bridge over Denton Creek will be reconstructed also as part of the project.
