Greystar has begun work on the 20-plus acres that will comprise the mixed-use and multi-family components in Lakeside DFW’s Phase I. Work began in April on the 23-acres single-family components (located north and west of Lakeside’s northern roundabout).
“We are preparing the site for the utility companies,” said David Elliott, project supervisor for Greystar, which will build six mixed-use buildings along Lakeside Parkway, west of the intersection with International Parkway (FM 2499).
Ground-floor retail will be featured with slant-in parking. Restaurants and shops are actively being courted for the space. Lofts will sit atop the retail space.
The 20,000+ drivers/day along this segment of FM 2499 may be startled by the southwest corner of Lakeside and International Parkway (FM 2499) which was cleared yesterday.
But those prospective shoppers, diners, and residents will now have a far easier time imagining the site as a bustling retail location.
