The concrete began pouring early this morning on Sandy Lane at Lakeside DFW.
It won’t stop for approximately 4 weeks.
“We expect to have all the streets paved in about 2 weeks,” said Scot Whitwer, manager of the single-family home construction site.
Once all the streets have been paved, concrete will be poured for the sidewalks, back fill, and trails.
“That work should be completed around the start of September and then we’ll install dry utilities, such as electric, gas, cable, and phone.”
“Model home construction will begin around the same time,” Whitwer said.
Once the dry utilities have been installed to the home sites, irrigation and landscaping work will begin along the streets.
Irrigation and landscaping for the Lakewood Park expansion, which had faced delays, now appears to be on track for completion in the next 2 weeks.
Paving on the section south of Sandy Ln. (Phase II of the single-family project) is expected to begin near the end of the year.
Clearing and erosion control for the Greystar project has begun.
